Kudu Shofar

A large and impressive shofar

The powerful sound that is carried far and wide and the variety of sounds that can be produced is a kudu shofar. If so, it’s no wonder that we meet Big Shofar made from the Kudo horn at meaningful events, music shows and religious ceremonies around the world. The kudu is a species of antelope found in the southern parts of the African continent. This horn can reach a length of about 150 cm and is impressive in size, color and sound. A large shofar that the Yemenis used to blow in this horn because it is easier to get these horns than those of the rams. The horn is characterized by a deep sound due to the large volume of air inside it. Different tones (usually 2-3 or even more) can derive from it.
